      Interview

I applied for a product manager position, was contacted about two weeks later to setup a 30 minute call with the recruiter, had a pleasant chat with her asking the basic phone screen questions, was told I will be moving forward with the hiring manager, then she ghosted me. I contacted her the next day to say I was excited to move on and never got a response. This is pretty par for the course when dealing with recruiters but for a company that prides itself on experiences this is really bad.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at InVision in Oct 2017

      Interview

I applied online. Within a few days I was contacted by a recruiter to set up a 30 minute phone screen. Phone screen seemed to go really well. Seemed like my background and interests were very well aligned with what they were looking for. Recruiter described the rest of the interview process, told me she would speak to the hiring manager, then get back to me with next steps. I replied with a thank you note. Heard nothing. After two weeks I followed up offering to provide any additional information they might need. Heard nothing. Touched base again after four weeks. Heard nothing. Finally, five weeks after the phone screen I got a system-generated rejection letter. I get it. Maybe I didn't have what the hiring manager was looking for. I've been a hiring manager and have been through this process. It's not fun. But we're all mature adults. Rather than going radio-silent, just tell me it's a 'no'. I've been through this; I can take it. I'd much rather prefer a quick personal rejection than a six week process to receive a system-generated rejection.

      Interview

Resume submitted, contact from recruiter, interview scheduled, phone interview, evaluation by hiring manager, interview with hiring manager. Phone interviews were very informal and provided time for both learning about position and answering/asking questions.
