      Interview

I got a really good first impression of the company. It's a smaller building but decorated really cute. The interview process was very comfortable and friendly. I enjoyed the HR lady who did my first interview. She asked me questions about what I needed from a new employer and about things that would benefit my life, which made me feel like she cared about hiring someone who would not only benefit their company but also better my life. She explained the position thoroughly and made sure I was well prepared and informed on what to expect next if we decided to work together. She allowed plenty of time for me to ask questions and didn't get irritated by them like a lot of other managers that I have interviewed with. The interview was rather brief, about 25 minutes or so but it was effective and more about first impressions because they train on everything else. This made perfect sense to me so I agreed to complete the second interview. I was still employed at the time and getting off of work was quite difficult for me so she offered for me to complete the rest of the rounds of interviewing in 1 day so that I didn't have to keep taking time off. This was very considerate of her, a lot of recruiters and managers that I've encountered didn't care if i was inconvenienced. The expectations that were set for the rest of the process eased my nerves and I was very excited to spend more time interviewing with the company. When I arrived for my second interview, I found the whole office on the company lawn, a couple of the managers were grilling out burgers and grilled chicken etc. for the staff and they offered me a plate and made me feel very at home. A couple staff members stopped in the lobby to introduce themselves and wish me luck on the rest of my interviews. Everyone was very warm and I could tell they didn't mind being at work. The guy who did my second interview was awesome! He had fun with me, cracked jokes and bought my dinner even though I insisted on purchasing it myself. He had no problem dissecting the position for me in detail and made sure to leave nothing out. He was great at talking to their clients too which I complemented him on and he told me that if I was offered a position that I could feel free to ask for him to help with my training because they have a very open door environment there. The third interview was pretty brief and it was with the owner of the company. He was cool too and super friendly and laid back but I didn't get to know him as well as the lady and the other guy but he was well dressed and smiled a lot. He didn't have as many questions for me because I had already completed 2 other interviews so he just asked if I had any further questions for him and basically wrapped up with me. He didn't offer me a job on the spot though which I think was my fault because they asked me not to wear jeans and I forgot and wore denim which I apologized for. I'm hoping for an offer from them today.

      Interview

I understand there is very little information in what is actually being done at this company available online. So here is everything I experienced in the interview process. Saw an ad on Craigslist, sent resume. Within 24 hours, I received a call from their 'Human Resources Manager', or their fancy title for receptionist. They seemed very nice. I scheduled an interview for the next Monday. I arrived 20 minutes early, and was sat in an ugly blue room with 3 other interviewees. I got called in 10 minutes before my scheduled time. I was interviewed with about 10 questions, mostly about me and what I wanted in a job. I was told very little about the position offered, but a lot about the office and how much 'fun' they liked to have, and they are '100% merit based'. I was told "Congratulations, let's schedule you for the 2nd round where you find out more about us." I accepted and was scheduled for the next day. The 2nd round involved going on a job shadow. The job involved going to the home doors of clients who have expressed interest in switching to this company's largest client, and convincing them to do so. The pay is entirely commission based. However, they offer an expedient climbing/training program, where you will get to a salaried position within the year, if you deserve to. After a 6 hour job shadow where the person I was shadowing got two sales after speaking to 5 people and knocking on 12 doos, I was taken back to the office and sat in the ugly blue room again. My salesperson for the day went into the boss' office for 2 minutes, then called me in. They asked me if I had any questions about the position or for them. I was then offered the position. Positives to the process/position: + Very relaxed and actually fun (we started one sale by freestyle rapping the pitch to a customer) + Free lunch on the job shadow + Large potential to climb (or at least the illusion to) + Seemingly transparent offer Negatives to the process/position: - Very vague until the dissection during the free lunch - Fully commission based - Seemingly too easy for the position offered - 100% merit based, but those above you determine your merit.
