The interview process was easy and straightforward but the recruiter was dishonest about the compensation they were willing to offer. I stated up front that I would not accept an offer below a certain rate with a certain amount of vacation time in the benefits and he agreed they could meet this. I was firm on these numbers in every conversation we had. On the final offer they were $10K and 2 weeks of PTO below my stated minimum and when I questioned this he actually became aggressive and demeaning with me, telling me many people would be happy to work for that amount, so I should be too, and that I had wasted their time. Also my in person interview was during the statewide employment mandates regarding covid and the top leadership declined everyone to wear masks, even though we were seated together in a small, indoor space. The manager for this position at the time was absolutely lovely in every way, and I very much wanted to work for her but exprience with leadership, recruitment, and misrepresentations of compensation were negative experiences.
