I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ingevity in Mar 2018
Interview
I went through a few phone interviews with the Talent Acquisition Manager and finally was invited onsite. Phone conversations were great, although I felt I was having to try and convince her that this position would be “challenging” enough for my career. I’m in a transition, which could pose a problem based on other roles that I’ve had.
The great thing about this company is that due to my being out of state - they paid for my flight, hotel and meals. They were supposed to pay for my rental, but I’m waiting on reimbursement for that still. The in person interview was quite lengthy, but standard questions to be quite honest. I met with two recruiters, an HR manager, the executive assistant, the HRIS manager, for a panel, and finally the Talent Acquisition Manager for my final interview onsite. I also received a tour of their facility as well.
Almost three weeks had gone by and I had not heard a follow up regarding the position, so I decided to send the hiring manager (Talent Acquisition Manager) an email to follow up. No reply to that email, but later that evening she did call and I missed it. I called back, with no answer and left a message. Another day goes by and I receive a call stating that they are moving forward with other candidates. Pretty disappointing experience, but companies know who they want.
Extremely extensive, interview was divided into 2 days due to my work schedule with all interviews ranging from 30mins to 1hr. Met with different teams including 2-4 panel members. The interview was meant to gauge interactions across departments. A decision was reached rather quickly.
They made me feel very at ease. I was comfortable, relaxed and just honest. I got a phone call very quickly after submitting my application. I did one over the phone interview and another one was scheduled right then.
