I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Inkitt (Berlin) in Mar 2017
Interview
I was called by the HR department one day after I had created a profile and uploaded my CV on a start-up job-finding platform. I received feedback regarding the call one day after through an e-mail, where I got asked for a Skype interview.
After the first Skype interview was finished, I was asked to do a test work task, in which I had to come up with a marketing strategy regarding an upcoming Reviewer Club platform. They gave me, more less, 2 or 3 days to submit my results (the task was mainly a brainstorming one, so it wasn't too incredibly demanding).
About a week later, I received positive feedback and was asked to conduct two skype calls, on whatever dates suited me. First I talked to the Head of Book Marketing, and then to the CEO. Both of them (and the HR person who had contacted me beforehand) allowed our conversations to be fluid, "chilled", and they evoked a sense of tranquility in me. After describing their culture and motivations behind what they do, I accepted to conduct a 5-days test work period.
All in all, the interview process was well thought, structured and fast. No complaints on my part!
