I had to hunt down the contact information of the person I wanted to work for. This place has a lot of turnover because the professional environment and organizational culture are, from every indication, appalling. The publisher spends much of his time interviewing potential candidates and giving them the run-around, a professional connection who worked there described it as his hobby.

Informal interview with supervising editors/reporter, with tough but fair questions and opportunities to learn about the values and culture of the organization. CEO of the company participated and was welcoming and made interviewees feel comfortable and provided opportunities for learning what it takes to succeed in the role. Company provided an offer on the spot, after several weeks of interviewing virtually/over the phone.
