I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee in May 2019
Interview
Applied online and was contacted by a Senior Recruiter within 2 weeks of application. Had a phone interview with recruiter during which I was asked about past experience and more general interview questions. One week later I was asked to do a written assessment with real world scenarios including putting together a briefing. One week after submitting the assessment I was invited to a skype interview with program staff. One week later I was contacted by the recruiter informing me they offered the position to someone else.

Question 1
How would you go about learning about our compliance methods?
Very standard process - first connected with HR and then moved to (Zoom) team interview. They asked expected, standard questions related to the job (both experience in the field, and many scenario-based questions). It did take them quite a while to get back to me (ultimately with a rejection), but I assume they were waiting to here back from another candidate. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Interview
I submitted a resume and cover letter through the organizational website, had a brief interview with an HR rep, then an interview with a panel of staff. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional during the interviews, the negative experience rating is for how long this process took -for example I was told after the 2nd interview I would hear back the following week and wasn’t notified that they had moved forward with another candidate until over a month later. It is during COVID so I assume this is due to extenuating circumstances, but this still felt bad to not be updated on my application status for so long after completing 2 interviews.
