      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Intralox in Nov 2016

      Interview

During the interview he asked a series of technical questions regarding to my major, the classes I've taken, and how it can be applied to the company. The representative asked me questions about my involvement on campus and followed up with an open floor for any questions that he can answer. Overall the interview was straight forward about getting to know me as a student rather than getting to know my experience as a worker and how I can contribute to Intralox.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What is your major? Can you explain to me what your major consists of? What is your favorite class and what is your least favorite class? I can see that you are involved in many organizations, can you tell me the duties that applied to your position?
      Answer question

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Intralox (Savage, MD) in Oct 2016

      Interview

A recruiter set me up to interview there. I was very interested in their operation as a conveyor system manufacturer, and it was a good fit for me because I am a natural with process improvements. The first person I interviewed with in person went well - he had me stay after and observe one of their dept meetings. He then gave me an 80 page company product manual to study for the 2nd interview. They had me come back for the next interview to meet with a different person, who asked me lots of personal questions rather than assessing how my experiences could fit the company business. They boast themselves as a company that focuses and thrives on their employees IDEAS, but I totally didn't get a chance to share the ideas and principles that I developed at my prior positions. The interviewer cared more about asking how my prior employer reacted to my input of ideas than he did about actually hearing what my ideas were! (As is he was interviewing my prior management instead of me!) They really wasted my time bringing me back for that 2nd interview after giving me an 80 page booklet to study up on! They also REQUIRED that I fill out a long application form and sign an agreement giving up my legal EEO rights as an applicant for employment, just to get the interview. That wasted a lot of my time as well. I would have never signed that if I wasn't highly interested in their line of work! I highly Do Not recommend applying with them. If you see that same requirement when you receive their application, DON'T waste your time! Never sign something consenting to give up your legal rights.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

He asked, what's your favorite tool in your toolbox? He also asked me about a certain French dish that I've never heard of, when I told him that cooking has been a big hobby of mine for half my life.
