I applied online. I interviewed at Inversion Space
Interview
Starts with recruiter, who sends notes and resumes to the hiring manager. If the hiring manager is interested it moves to a phone screen with hiring manager, then phone screen with another engineer, then an on site interview.
Phone Screen with Recruiter - the process started off unusual with availabilities sent through their ATS only to have the recruiter contact and schedule a call through text. Beyond that, they pressed for an expected salary band to which I replied on the upper end of their band within the job description, which they didn't know
After that, questions regarding the team composition were not adequately answered, only that you are expected to wear multiple hats, and an engineer who was recently hired gave no clarity on what they were looking for. Lastly, when asked about the projects and expected timelines, they merely stated that there is a PM and wanted someone flexible. Suffice it to say, the questions weren't directly answered, and they couldn't concretely explain this role
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Inversion Space (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2022
