applied online for the senior financial analyst role with invesco/ atlantic trust in chicago, il. was contacted by the human resources in house recruiter for a phone conversation. during the call she gave me an overview of the company and the role and asked general questions about my background. she stated that she felt like i was an ideal fit. i was then invited to meet with the hiring manager (a finance manager) and the group vp (non finance) for the final round of interviews. since the company is based in atlanta a hire level finance executive wanted to sit in on the interviews as well. the meeting with the hiring manager and vp went great. we clicked they confirmed that they thought i would be ideal for the role. but like most of these processes that asks for more than one opinion the exec from atlanta was against me. she wasn't satisfied with me reasons for wanting to leave my employer and of course i didn't get the job. just know that anyone in the process can derail a job offer....
