I applied online and then scheduled a phone screen with a recruiter within two days of initial email. I then proceeded to second round interviews with a director-level Hiring Manager via Zoom. I ended up interviewing for a junior role (not the position advertised in original post or mentioned in the phone screen). I told HM I was not interested at the end of the meeting who seemed disinterested from the onset, was completely dismissive to my background and years of experience (hence relegating me to a junior role), and asked an unlawful and discriminatory interview question (USA).
