I applied to Iowa80 group via a LinkedIn posting where I was followed up promptly. A recruiter reached out to me through email to coordinate a phone interview. We set a time and the recruiter contacted me and asked very basic questions, most repetitive and beyond the recruiters comprehension as they are used to hiring truck stop employees but that have the same recruiter asking applicants technical screening questions with no comprehension of what’s going on in the conversation. I asked basic questions regarding PTO, relocation, compensation and the recruiter was unable to provide a response. They were not sure what the role they’re hiring for does so they couldn’t provide a single bit of information about the job itself. I was asked if I would like to set up a second round interview in person. When I emailed the recruiter asking if I could speak with someone on the team regarding the job description or benefits before making my way to the corporate office—I was told that the hiring manager was. I longer interested in continuing the process. Beware of any company that refuses to answer questions about the job and asks more of their employees while giving less than the bare minimum.
