      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Iris Telehealth (Milwaukee, WI) in Oct 2024

      Interview

Standard clinical questions but I did have to participate in 3-4 interviews. Although I did receive the position, I did not feel confident following the interview due to the director's stoic personality.

      Question 1

What modalities do you most commonly use with patients?

      Interview

Many people are looking for a job while they have one; in my case, there were no available interview times other than smack in the middle of my work day. Times offered were limited every day to 10am-3:30pm and no Fridays. Not many people work hours in which this would work. I tried to do the Zoom call in my car during my lunch time and unfortunately the video was malfunctioning. The interviewer was extremely passive aggressive and stated “well, your video presence is extremely important for telehealth.” Ma’am, we have been in a pandemic for almost 2 years; seasoned clinicians understand the importance of video and how telehealth works. We also understand that it’s incredibly unprofessional to take a video interview at the desk of your current job using your current employer’s WiFi and equipment. If you offered interview times with flexibility, you wouldn’t be putting your applicants in the position of having to leave work for the time to commute home and back for the interview, sit in their car for the interview, or use employer time and equipment for the interview. When I explained the situation, she continued to tell me to reschedule despite my informing her that the times offered would all involve the same issue. The inflexibility and attitude - not to mention a clinician who doesn’t listen - was a huge red flag for the employer as a whole and I won’t be rescheduling.

I'm sincerely sorry for the poor experience you had interviewing with us. I understand that the schedule offered did not align with your current work schedule, and we most certainly could have done a better job to accommodate that. I hear your concern, and my team has adjusted our scheduling practices to be more personalized and flexible for working applicants like yourself. Please feel free to reach me personally at dana.foltz@iristelehealth.com if you have additional insights. I welcome the feedback and opportunity to get better!
