      Delivery Engineer Interview

      23 Oct 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Itential in Oct 2020

      Interview

The interview process was quite lengthy (took around 2 months for the entire process to come to a conclusion). The first round consisted of a phone interview all the way back in August in which I was asked about object oriented programming and data structures concepts and some questions about my background. The second round consisted of a video interview in which I was asked some questions about my previous experience from my resume and then a JavaScript coding challenge. Then there was a third round that consisted of three stages of back-to-back interviews, 45 minutes each. 135 minutes of nonstop interviewing with no breaks. For the first stage they asked some technical questions about my background and then asked me to complete a more difficult JavaScript coding challenge than from the second interview. I was not able to finish on time, and I believe this is why I did not get the offer. During the second stage I was asked a system design question. The interviewer was professional and helpful during this stage. During the third stage I was asked many behavioral questions and was also asked about asynchronous vs synchronous execution, which I never heard of from any of my classes in college or from my previous internship. My mouth was getting dry after all the talking I did just after the second round and it would've been nice if they were more considerate of their candidates by having a short break in-between each long 45 minute stage. It definitely feels disheartening to get a rejection after all that time and energy put into this extremely lengthy process.
