Interview
I submitted my resume online and was contacted by the Technical Recruiter the next day for a phone interview. At the end of the phone interview I was asked to come in for an interview with the Sales Manager and the CEO. We scheduled the interview for the next working day at a time convenient for me. I was greeted by the Technical Recruiter for a quick overview before meeting with the Sales Manager and CEO. Just like any interview I was nervous, but immediately felt comfortable as the interview progressed. The way the Sales Manager and CEO presented themselves and the company immediately made this a work environment I wanted to be in. After what I felt was a successful interview I was offered a tour of the facility and at the end I was told I would be contacted very soon in regards to a decision. I was contacted right away with an offer.

Interview
Applied online, had a phone interview the next day. Came in for an in-person interview with the recruiter and sales manager a few days later. Given instructions to email the sales manager my thoughts post interview. A few days later, got a call to come in to me the company owner the following day. Had a good pleasant experience thus far. She interrupted me halfway through the interview to bring in one of the sales managers I had already interviewed with. So I felt I was repeating a lot of what was already asked in said.
The Owner asked if I had experience in all software programs, I said yes assuming she meant MS Word, Excel etc. When the manager piped in and said she thought I didn't had graphic design experience, I had to clarify it since the owner wasn't entirely clear with which software programs she was asking me about. The interview ended shortly after and I was told the decision was up to the Sales Manager, but I wasn't given any idea of when the final decision would be made.
A few hours later, I see the position re-posted. I sent an email to the recruiter asking when to expect a decision to be made. I was surprised I didn't hear right away considering the recruiter was really responsive at the beginning of the process. I did hear a few days later when I simply got a rejection email due to lack of experience. Ok, understandable. I am a little confused about why I got brought into meet the owner if my experience was a concern? It's definitely not easy working interviews around current employment, so I felt a little led on. I think the phone screen or first interview should give a pretty good idea about my experience level. So I am a little confused about why I was called in for the 3rd round if I didn't have the ideal experience they were looking for.
