I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at JCPenney (Anchorage, AK) in Nov 2012
Interview
I felt very comfortable. As soon as the interview was finished I was pulled aside and offered a job as sales associate and asked if I could start in three days.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JCPenney (New York, NY) in Aug 2013
Interview
It was a group interview. Be sure to dress nicely and come prepared, meaning ready to talk, with nerves relaxed and a little bit of background information on the company. We were asked various questions, I took m time an was often the last to answer, as I wanted to gather as many responses as possible at first and use them to build my own response which would exceed that of everyone in the room. Once the group questioning process was over they separated about 60 percent of the people in the room, asking them to come out to the hallway then directed them to the exit, so be glad if you're still in the interview room. The job offer comes within minutes after that, along with any terms and such that you need to know about the job, as well as your training dates.
