Sent in my CV (As I have 7/8 years experience in the field and technical edit AutoCAD books) and was then asked to complete an online assessment. I was told it was a standard, general test but it was heavily biased towards Sales Directors. The test had nothing to do with workplace design and, having studied psychometric testing as part of my Master's Degree, can say this test was not general in any way, shape or form. I should say the problem is with Jaguar Land Rover's process not the agency - the recruitment agency (Which I am keeping as anonymous) is not at fault in any way. They were very helpful and understanding in facilitating a complaint enquiry to JLR and I have nothing but praise for them. JLR have hundreds of vacancies and I believe this is because they miss out on specialised talent due to the testing stage asking the wrong questions.
