I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (New York, NY) in Nov 2010
Interview
Initial 1:1 interview on campus. Mostly just screening. Then a "day in the bank" with two 1:1 interviews (one HR, one about programming skills) as well as a game played with a group to test how well you play with others.
It's pretty easy to do well on the game test - just be very polite and ask everyone if they agree on a step before continuing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you had twelve identical looking-balls except that one weighed more or less than the other 11, and could weigh the balls (or any subset) three times, how can you find the correct ball and whether it weighed more or less?
Asked very scripted questions and everyone took a lot of notes. I really enjoyed the people I spoke with and they really made me think about the role and my past
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How could you see your past experience supporting you in this role as AI uses proliferate.
Was given a leetcode problem within the first 4 mins of the interviewer. Wish I was making this up. Interviewers did not really introduce themselves besides names, straight to the code problem. The interview felt extremely cold. No soul, no passion, no discussion
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (Jersey City, NJ)
Interview
First round HR screening
Second Round - Online Assessment
Third Round Superday - Behavioral, Coding Challenge, System Design
Overall one of the smoother processes, does take long around 3 months
