Applied for a marketing manager role and was interviewed by the director of marketing within a week. The interview went really well and it seemed like they would be moving forward and I would hear from the recruiter for next steps. I sent a thank you email to the director and the recruiter, expressing thanks, my continued interest, and to reach out with next steps a week after the interview. Three weeks after the interview, I still hadn't received any communication from Jacksons' team on whether or not I would be moving forward with the role or if they had decided to move forward with other candidates. I sent another email at three weeks post interview and still haven't received a response of any kind. The role is still posted on multiple job boards and on the company career website.
Its the worst candidate interview experience I've been through. Ghosting candidates like they don't exist is unacceptable and really disrespectful. Candidates take time to apply, research, prep and plan for an interview, and take time off from their current job to interview.
