I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Janoschka (İzmir) in Apr 2023
Interview
The interview took place at the company's plant in Çiğli, İzmir, Türkiye (they also have a presence in the Free Zone, while the headquarters is based in Germany). The process included a face-to-face meeting directly in the production area with the Production Supervisor. I had a very disappointing recruitment experience with this company. After being directed to a specific private hospital for pre-employment health screenings, I was not hired because the doctor did not provide approval. Despite the legal requirement for employers to cover these costs, the company refused to reimburse me for the expenses (which were significant at the time). The HR representative even suggested I could "use the results for another job application," which is both unprofessional and dismissive of my financial loss. They force candidates to pay for their own health screenings, violating labor safety laws. The shift system is exhausting (3 days of 07:45-19:45 followed by 3 nights of 19:45-07:45). Legally, night shifts cannot exceed 7.5 hours. The offered salary is very low considering the hazardous nature of the work. No meaningful social rights or benefits are provided. Respect labor laws regarding recruitment expenses and stop transferring the financial burden of mandatory health checks onto candidates. Improve the working hours and compensation to match the physical demands and risks of the job.
