      Server Interview

      22 Aug 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Seattle, WA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Japonessa (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2017

      Interview

My interview was for the Bellevue location. I arrived on time in Bellevue only to find that my hiring manager did not let me know she meant to tell me to meet her at the downtown location. I spent approximately 3 hours on one interview that day due to sheer disorganization/overworked management. I was hired on the spot, but the opening date was pushed back twice, and I waited about 2.5 months for the doors to open before even training. To add insult to injury they offer their staff the minimum wage for training (regardless of your experience level,) don't keep sign in sheets or records of hours worked for a single person and then they withheld our first check until a week after we opened.
