I had a one-on-one "chat" with Darian after completing the extensive application and handing in about 10 pages of work samples. I was prepared with some questions to ask about Jelly and about the role (as normal) but I was unprepared that Darian wouldn't ask me any questions aside from ones about the other firms I had applied to. It's standard, in this industry, for interviews to be a little less structured and more like a conversation--however, this one in particular was one-sided and I left feeling very small. Darian's attitude was patronizing and condescending.
