Very unprofessional process. Spent 2 days of panels and a telephone interview to start. Also spent a few hours preparing a 30 minute presentation for Joby for the panels.
All of that time spent and I was ghosted. There was a one liner email that told me they were still evaluating people 1 week after they all said they would make a decision (3 weeks total), so obviously I was the "fall back guy," or they would have made me an offer.
I felt this was extremely unprofessional, especially to an aerospace industry veteran who has working experience dealing with regulators and OEM aircraft production certification, recertification, and maintenance program working daily duties. Also, it's not good to "burn bridges" with US Air Force Veterans, when you're attempting to court the US Air Force for contract money and possible employees...that's just ridiculous and unprofessional. At least let the employee know he wasn't chosen, after he wasted 3 days of his life he'll never get back for hopefully wanting to make a difference in the hiring company's goals.
That's just simple professional and industry respect.
I would look elsewhere, like the "other" company(s) developing these after the way many others, and I was treated...as reflected in these reviews.
P.S. they've had a lot of these 200 plus jobs posted for over a year, and little people have received an offer according to Glassdoor for a company this size and investment. I think they just post a bunch of jobs to look like the company is growing or successful, then waste a bunch of people's time in interviews trying to glean what to do from them for free without an employment offer.
