Strong HR team but disorganised process
Pros:
The HR talent team was excellent: clear, professional, and efficient.
The first interview was well-structured, with a professional interviewer who explained the role and team clearly.
Good insight into the company’s leadership principles.
Cons:
Building access was poorly organised — no QR code was provided, which caused unnecessary stress on arrival.
The second interview started late because the interviewers were in another meeting with phones switched off.
What was anticipated as a ‘cultural fit’ interview switched to competency-based questions with no notice, making it hard to prepare.
The final decision was based on skills not included in the job description, which should have been communicated beforehand.
Advice to Management:
Keep the HR recruitment team strong, but ensure local managers and hiring teams follow through with the same level of organisation. Be transparent about what skills will influence hiring decisions, communicate clearly about interview formats, and respect candidates’ time by providing all necessary information in advance.
