first a meet with hr, nothing out of the ordinary, more like a standard vibe check.
then the technical interview consisted of basically asking to build a simple web app using ruby on rails
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Jumpseller
Interview
The interview process was okay, because the people from Jumpseller were very friendly and respectful. In total the process took one and a half month, from the first interview with the coding challenge and the next interview.
Everything was okay, but in the end I was waiting around a month for a final response from them, after the second interview. I only got a response because I was asking multiple times. In the end they said they decided to move on with another candidate which is fair, but also to my question what got them to that final decision I never got a response.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jumpseller in Feb 2025
Interview
HR + at home Code Challenge + Code challenge review with 2 tech persons. After that you can get an offer or a decline reason. The challenge is not particularly hard but the reviews has some attention to detail.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about previous roles and projects and specific backend and database questions always related to my code challenge. Not leetcode style. More to see how you think and if you can find bugs and describe how you would solve them in your own code
