Interview process was extremely informal (not a bad thing). Soft skills discussions and resume analyzing, vetting my prior military service and the like. The recruiter was great, she was just brilliant. The first interview was *supposed* to be on Teams, but he was late, and then called my phone to tell me Teams wasn't working so we just spoke on the phone. It was done by a man who was claimed to be the PM on site. I had this call with him October 10. He asked me about my health during the interview, as he could see that I served less than 20 years, but told him that I had in fact retired. I answered truthfully (even knowing this was an illegal question) that I took some months off to concentrate on my health and now I was ready to work. The entire conversation went super well and he spoke of my next steps (specifically to speak to one more person in a supervisory position) and insisted I let him know if I needed anything in the meantime and that he'd email me so that I would have both his number and email to reach him. He emailed me within an hour of us hanging up. I emailed him about 4 days later, having realized I made an error when I gave my start date. Crickets. No reply. I waited another 1.5 weeks and sent a follow up email inquiring about the next meeting, again crickets. Completely ghosted me and I'm sure it's because of my health, which is extremely illegal. It's so incredibly unprofessional of a company to take the time out of someone's schedule and then ghosting them completely. The least the candidate deserves is to be told you'd moved to other candidates, not made to wait with no word whatsoever. They should be ashamed.
