I applied online. I interviewed at Kahiki Foods (Columbus, OH) in Mar 2020
Interview
They scheduled the phone interview well in advance and they were very flexible with my Calendar. They were always quick to respond and keep in good communications the entire time. Not once did they ghost me or pressure me into answering in 1 hour or your application was ignored. Very courteous and kind, wish more companies interviewed like them.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kahiki Foods (Columbus, OH) in Mar 2019
Interview
Short phone interview then an extremely informal, awkward, in-person interview with a TV on in the background and people eating lunch around the interview area. I've had more formal minimum wage job interview settings.
Second part of the in person involved standing around the manufacturing area with heavy machinery and loud noises in the background. I understand that this is what the position's work enviornment would be like but it is extremely strange to conduct an interview for a desk job in the middle of it.
Third part involved a sit down with a higher up in manufacturing that was the only normal part of the interview.
Overall, the interview really turned me off from the company but unfortunately it doesn't stop there. A month later, I actually received an email addressed to someone with a completely different name than mine to my email stating that I didn't get the position. This email was sent by the hiring manager which was again, extremely unprofessional on their part. If you're looking to attract strong talent I highly recommend stepping up your game in terms of being professional.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Kahiki Foods (Columbus, OH)
Interview
Through temp service. The orientation took a few hours once I arrived at Kahiki. There was one other person that was with me at the orientat orientation. The other bad thing about working there was constant standing and very little moving around. Standing on solid concrete floor with no rubber matting.
