The interview coordinator was very helpful and timely in his response. He provided solid information about the position and the remote working environment. He was transparent about the salary and about the tangible support given to remote employees.

Question 1
I was asked about my experience with content writing for various platforms.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kalkomey Enterprises (Phoenix, AZ) in Sept 2024
Interview
5 Rounds of Interviews. 4/5 are conversations, 1 is a take home project presentation.
The four conversations are standard and IMO, while plentiful very beneficial to understand the work you'll be doing and who you will be interacting with. This is a small company so getting along with everyone is extremely important. This is something I value so I didn't mind how many interviews there were. I spoke with a recruiter, the hiring manager, marketing and SEO, and a member of the C-Suite directly in my interviews. Each one touched on relevant topics for the person I was speaking with.
- Recruiter: What I was seeking in a new role, previous experience
- Hiring Manager: How my previous experience related to the current role, how I would solve relevant issues/go about doing relevant tasks, things I was confident in related to the role.
- Marketing / SEO: Cross team collaboration skillset, communication with the different teams, problem solving across teams
- C-Suite: Company questions, final questions, and an open table for you to interview the "company" in depth.
The take home was a project where you were given a set of features to prioritize and explain why you did so. It is pretty open ended and it was clearly demonstrated that it was meant to have the team understand how you think versus a "right answer".
Overall, the process was great and the entire team is TRULY open for questions the whole way through. Take advantage of their open door during the process to better prepare yourself! They really take the time to get to know candidates and it really shows. I thoroughly enjoyed their process.

Question 1
What does a good day look like for you?
How do you work to prepare marketing and SEO for new product releases.
How would you communicate with other teams to continuously improve delivery?
I applied online. I interviewed at Kalkomey Enterprises (Fort Worth, TX) in Feb 2021
Interview
These people are scam artists. They dragged me through an interview process that took more than a month and had me interview with seven (7) different people. I even interviewed with one of the Private Equity partners that owns the company. The entire time, they pumped me for information and ideas.
At the end, they made a verbal offer with a salary that was well below the market rate. We were then in the middle of negotiating the salary (at least I thought) when they abruptly broke off communication only to notify me several days later that they would be "heading in a different direction."
The fact is, they never had any intention of hiring me (or anybody for this position). They've figured out that they can use LinkedIn to re-post specific high-level positions over and over and "interview" candidates as a way of getting free Product and Technology consulting. This is why, IMO, they are complete scam artists. Completely unprofessional.
I sent them a bill for my time -given how egregious and duplicitous their intent, and how much of my time they consumed -but they have yet to pay. I will be taking them to small claims court.
Moreover, I will be watching their products to see if they pursue any of the gold-nugget ideas that I gave them. If they do, I will be suing for a MUCH larger amount; a staggering amount; an eye-watering amount; a jaw-dropping amount; a hand-wringing amount; you get the picture. Luckily, I'm in a position to have sufficient resources to draw out a court battle for years and to hire enough of the right attorneys to make sure that it either: 1. goes my way, or 2. makes life extremely difficult and time consuming for Kalkomey.
Scoundrels.
