I applied online. I interviewed at Kaon Interactive
Interview
Overall it wasn't a bad experience because everyone was at least friendly and helpful, however the process was very drawn out and self-absorbed. What I mean by the latter is that I had 3 interviews and I think through all of those only a total of 2 questions were actually asked about me or my background.
The first interview was a phone screen which was primarily focused on giving a run down of the company and asking some technical questions which weren't hard at all. After that I had to complete an assessment project, and the second interview was going over that. The third interview was...once again just running over what the company does and maybe asking me one question. It was frustrating because there's only so much you can say in an interview when being given the same rundown for the third time.
And as I mentioned all of this was very drawn out. There were at least two weeks between each of those steps, because apparently they like to take time to ensure they are hiring the right person. Which is understandable, for Kaon, but I think it's unfair to the candidate to waste that much time. It gives the impression that Kaon only really cares about how candidates can benefit them and doesn't really value the candidate at all.
Ultimately I didn't get the job and I think I was supposed to be ghosted because weeks went by after my last interview without hearing anything and it was only once I repeatedly reached out that I was told I didn't get the job. Again, not very much respect for the candidate.
