Interview
My interviewer was really nice when she was getting to know me as a candidate during an introductory call. Unfortunately, I have had a negative experience regarding the actual process itself. I was supposed to have a first-round interview link sent to me so that I could better explain my experiences, etc. This happened during the holidays, and I was told that we would have that interview happen once the period was over, but there was a lack of communication, and I was ultimately chosen not to move forward after three weeks of no silence.
The lack of transparency really left a bad taste in my mouth, and I felt that I didn't necessarily get a chance to showcase my experience/work samples, in which one could make the argument that it didn't seem as equitable as I'd like for it to be.

Question 1
"Do you have any experience regarding pricing strategy, etc. PLG playbooks"
Redesign task. Interviewing team have examples of your design work but are getting your work for their company for free. These designs would take hours or days for anyone also working.

Interview
Initially, I was intrigued by Keelvar and thought an automated sourcing tool start-up seemed promising. However, my interview experience completely changed my perspective. After completing two assessments—an email response to a hypothetical customer inquiry and a live Excel assessment via Teams—I encountered significant communication issues.
Despite multiple follow-ups on my end, I received no responses for weeks. When I finally did hear back, the reply was vague, offering no clear update and merely suggesting they would get back to me. It has now been three months, and I’ve received no further communication—effectively leaving me ghosted.
This lack of transparency and responsiveness was disappointing, and it made me question Keelvar’s commitment to communication and service. If this is how they handle potential employees, I CAN ONL Y IMAGINE HOW FRUSTATING IT WOULD BE FOR CUSTOMERS RELYING ON THEIR SERVICES. Unfortunately, this experience seems to reflect a communication breakdown that extends from the associate level to the executive team.

Question 1
Don’t waste your time providing ideas by completing their assessment. During the Excel portion, it was clear that the person administering it was simply following a script and referring to an answer sheet. When I asked follow-up questions at the end, they lacked depth in their responses. Additionally, they referenced cell locations from their cheat sheet, which didn’t align with my work because I used different cells. This further highlighted their lack of understanding of the task.
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience. I'd appreciate it if you could contact our team (hr@keelvar.com) with your application details in order for us to fully look into this case.
Many thanks,
Michelle
