I would rate the interview process(for Senior Software Engineer - Android) at 'Keka HR' as 3 out of 5.
After reviewing the company's ratings on platforms like Glassdoor, AmbitionBox etc,. I observed that the overall ratings are average. However, my personal experience during the initial two technical interview rounds, where the first involved Q&A and the second required creating a project from scratch, was quite positive and the interview panel were very patient. I really appreciate the company's unique and practical approach to the interview process, which sets them apart from conventional methods.
In the third round of interviews, since HR wanted to conduct third round of physical interview at office asap, I suggested scheduling a physical interview on a weekday to meet with the technology head. I explicitly communicated my plan to take a 2-hour permission and work from home in Hyderabad. Despite everything being arranged, I arrived at the office five minutes late and was made to wait for 25 minutes. Instead of meeting the technology head, I was unexpectedly given a task due to the person taking the interview being occupied with other work and arriving late. The lack of proper communication among the interview panel and HRs left me puzzled, especially since we had scheduled the interview days in advance. I expected more clarity from the HR in the process, as this would've not happened and I would've got permission for more time. I continue to wonder why they insisted on conducting the interview in person when there is the option to conduct it virtually, similar to the other rounds.
Regarding HR communication, I find it perplexing that they do not respond to calls or messages unless they choose to. While I understand that HRs may be occupied with work, it seems reasonable for them to take just a minute to acknowledge our calls or messages.
In general, all rounds except the final one proceeded smoothly, given their virtual nature. I leave it to your imagination to consider how the overall experience might have differed if all the rounds were conducted in person at the office.
