I applied through university. I interviewed at Kent County Council in Apr 2026
Interview
One stage interview - asked for a presentation on digital accessibility and provided a reference website. 10 minute presentation time, gave us time to prepare the presentation. I had network issues and that docked points although this is something that can't be controlled whether we prepare or not . Stated they liked my answers but wanted more, stated my presentation was good but I should've designed it more
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kent County Council (Maidstone, England) in Dec 2022
Interview
Prior to the interview I was asked to prepare a presentation, which I did. Upon arrival I had to wait some time for my interview and was eventually ushered into a small room with two ladies who did not know their subject matter, and was told that "they no longer did presentations". I was then asked a series of generic and irrelevant questions.
This was by far the most unprofessional interview I've ever had, and quite frankly the interviewers were an embarrassment.
The interview process with KCC was professional, well structured, and informative. Communication was clear throughout, and each stage allowed for meaningful discussion of skills, experience, and expectations. The panel was welcoming, asked thoughtful questions, and provided insight into the organization’s values, culture, and role requirements. Overall, it felt fair and engaging.
