I applied online. I interviewed at Kent Ridge Education Hub (Singapore) in Jul 2022
Interview
Sent my job application in July 2022 and received a brief reply after a few days, requesting for an online interview the day after.
A few hours before the interview, a HR officer sent an email rudely stating that I didn't fill up the application form, although the form was not available on the company's website!
He sent an attachment requesting for me to fill it up before the interview, which I did. I logged in for the interview 10mins before time and the interview was already there. He immediately started the interview WITHOUT any greeting or introduce whatsoever.
He instantaneously said that I "I requested for you to send me the application form but you did." Said I did (obviously he didn't even check).
The interview went on for 10 mins where the interviewer went on about "how we can make money and what the teachers are required to do (so we can make more money). Really disgusted me! The interviewer also gave a very snobbish and standoffish front, like as if the centre is such a big deal and only hire big names as teachers.
I understand a tuition centre is a business enterprise but if the mgmt is only concerned about making money, it might as well operates a casino. Worst still, everyone knows that KRTC is not even popular tuition centre. The reason is obvious to me now. So why the arrogance?
A day after the interview, I wrote an email to the centre to withdraw my job application. As an trained educator, I certainly do not want to be employed by such an establishment.
