Very good, I felt very respected. Very laid back and people have good personalities! The interview was relaxed and I felt very comfortable. Kent is an amazing school, I’m proud to be part of the alumni network!
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Kent State (Kent, OH) in Jan 2014
Interview
There is no interview process for being a graduate assistant. You must send them a statement of purpose and let that do the talking for you. If you give the head of the program a call, I don't think that she cares. Write a great letter, make sure that you have some good letters of recommendation, and make sure to send it in before the deadline. Finding a place to take the GRE can be hard, but study for it, and you'll do wonderfully.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why would you be a good candidate for this position?
It was for 30 minutes panel interview. It was just one round interview. All the basic questions were asked. It was a good professional experience. I learned a lot from that interview.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Kent State in Mar 2014
Interview
simple and very straight forward. It was an internal transfer so I didn't have to go through the routine hiring process. I interviewed straight with the department director who asked very basic questions and was very co-operative. I got the decision the same day which was appreciated.
