      Java Front End Developer Interview

      11 Nov 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kiha Software (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2010

      Interview

First had a coffee interview with the CTO at a coffee shop to see if the personalities would 'fit'. Then one week later went to their location for the serious day interview. Starts with 2 one hour interviews with other programmers. First one asked me to write a MergeSort() with two incomplete lists. The second asked me to parse a JSON file. The people were very nice, respectful and it looks like a great place to work. IF, you pass these two interviews, then you move on to another two interviews.... unfortunately, I never made it that far. If you like parsing/controlling/handling tons of data, this is the place for you.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Write a mergeSort() putting two Lists together. Each of which is incomplete and must be merged into complete files first.
      Answer question

      Question 2

Parse a JSON file. To put a new key/value pair on each line and indents where necessary.
