I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Klaviyo (Boston, MA) in Jun 2022
Interview
Long process, started with recruiter reaching out. Initial call was with recruiter to get to know a little more about me and the company. Subsequent interview was with a new PM that went over general knowledge in the area. Final round was setup with a virtual whiteboarding session with several members of the Product team role playing, a 45 minute session with a member of the Engineering team, and a 45 minute session with the hiring manager to go over relevant domain knowledge.
Overall, there was a positive experience until this point. From that point forward, there was no response yes or no, no replies to followup emails, nothing. Ghosted.
I actually can't fathom how a company that is trying to build products that help communication happen cannot take 5 minutes to say "Sorry, going a different direction" or "We ran out of money and stopped hiring.".
I felt disappointed, confused, and disrespected. I also may have dodged a bullet.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interview was setup to gauge relevant knowledge in the first 30 minute interview, followed by a take home assignment that should take between 2-3 hours to complete, followed by an awkward attempt at a virtual whiteboarding system where you do what you did for 2-3 hours on the weekend again in an environment not ideal for whiteboarding.
Question was related to a building new functionality for networking at a conference app.

Other Senior Product Manager interview reviews for Klaviyo
Recruiter was very clear with what the interview process would include. kicked off with phone screen and then a number of various different interviews with hiring manager and skip levels.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Klaviyo
Interview
4 rounds so far - deep dive on product design and behavioral. The interview is focused heavily on how you understand product management and how you design products. Prepare on product design and product sense type of questions.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Klaviyo (Boston, MA) in Nov 2022
Interview
Really quick process; I was contacted within a week of submitting my application and had a round scheduled with Brian, a talent recruiter at Klaviyo, almost immediately. I felt Brian was a world-class recruiter as he was very informed about the position, about the company, about PM's role in the organization and he set really clear expectations about the next steps. I actually noted that Glassdoor interview reviews stated that PM interviews could take weeks and had quite negative feedback, and he was able to speak to that and affirm to me that they'd made changes and the process was much quicker and clearer now. I didn't end up getting the job after round 2 (which I enjoyed! I spoke with a product lead / hiring manager, and although I do wish this interview had been a little sooner after round 1 it still wasn't an unreasonable gap between rounds), but Klaviyo was really quick to let me know that I was not moving forward. Brian provided additional feedback upon request. Figured I should leave a review here since I had a really positive experience, but they hired a candidate into the role before I got to the written assessment stage, so I can't speak to the full flow.

Question 1
Talk about the process/a time when you took something from idea to concept to validation to execution. Talk about how I work with Engineering. Talk about a problem/challenge I faced and how I resolved it. Pretty standard stuff!
