I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Klover Contracting (Quakertown, PA)
Interview
Interview was basic and simple. The weld test however was ridiculous. They advertise the position as being for entry-level welders fresh out of school/looking for training but the test is on 14 gauge galvanized steel with very poor fit up (big gaps in joints where you’re asked to weld) and the metal isn’t cleaned off beforehand. That means all the welds will be contaminated with the zinc coating and if you’re not wearing a respirator you risk getting sick from inhaling fumes. This is also after being told you would be working on structural prefab components.
HR scheduled a phone interview, then did not call or respond to follow up email. It should be common courtesy to at least respond to an email or let the interviewee know that the interview is cancelled.
