I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kodak Imaging Network (Norwalk, CT) in Jun 2009
Interview
Had a very nice conversation with an HR rep who was conducting the first phone interview; if I passed that then I would speak with the functional manager who would have the final say on hiring.
She asked me the basic questions about goals, work history, attitudes, etc. Then she asked questions about my project management experience. Since I wasn't formally trained, I could tell I had to make a strong case of why I was qualified for this job. I thought I made a good case, but my lack of certification and specific experience (job with project manager in title) essentially disqualified me. She gave me the chance to further document my formal project management experience and send it to her, but that didn't convince them.
She recognized that she didn't know too much about the area she was interviewing for (digital imaging), but she got a breakdown from the hiring agent. She did know how to interview in a pre-screen process, I was very comfortable and at ease. She was very nice and personable, so it seemed like she enjoyed this job and the company in general.
