I underwent a total of six interviews, including two on-site visits. The first was an introduction call , followed by an on-site interview. The third interview, conducted remotely, involved the person currently owning the position. The fourth and fifth interviews (conveniently scheduled on the same day and on-site). Then there was a sixth online interview (initially it wasn't planned).
The issue arose during the last interview, revealing a significant discrepancy. The role discussed in the first five interviews differed substantially from the position they were actually seeking in the final round. This mismatch left me feeling that a considerable amount of time was invested in calls and on-site visits only to discover, in the last interview, that they were pursuing a professional with a completely different skill set.
