I applied online. I interviewed at Koyfin in Apr 2026
Interview
Meeting with the recruiter, meeting with hiring manager, panel interview with team, meeting with head of engineering.
Everyone was super nice, recruiter did a very bad job with the communication.
Not a serious company. Very slow to make a decision. After all my interviews I was told that they had very good feedback for me and that they were finalizing things, only to receive a rejection letter a few days later.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Koyfin (Ann Arbor, MI) in Jan 2025
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn, we did a 20 minute screen--she was great, very interested in what I was interested in doing next to see if we were a good match. Then I had a 30-minute convo with the Head of Engineering, really enjoyed talking to him; he came across as very thoughtful and competent. I imagine he's a great engineering leader. Then I did an hour-long FE technical screen comprised of a few different sections. Nothing tricky, though some of the questions were about lower-level React stuff than I was used to. Genuinely enjoyed the conversation with the interviewer. I don't actually know if I passed that screen; I pulled out shortly afterward to accept an offer at smaller/earlier-stage company since that's what I was most interested in. Overall though would've been happy to continue with Koyfin in other circumstances; I feel like their interview process respected my time.

Question 1
TBH I don't remember specific questions--they were all generally designed to develop a picture of "how deeply have you worked in React?" and none of them were gotchas.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Koyfin in Mar 2025
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for a Product Designer position. The initial screening was very short and felt impersonal (no camera on, very rushed). The lack of feedback and the undisclosed AI analysis were particularly concerning.
