I applied through university. I interviewed at Kroll (Madrid) in Apr 2017
Interview
Two rounds - The first, more technical with two senior analysts is divided in two parts, basic personal questions and then they provide you a case for you to read and disccuss. They will leave the room and then return in around 40mins. The case discussion will be there to draw out questions from all basic valuation topics, such as FCF, CCF, ECF, WACC, Long Term Growth rates, Terminal Value, CAPM, Cost of Equity, Cost of Debt, etc...Nothing too complicated (options, etc...) but know the basics thoroughly.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Which Company (of the case) would you recommend purchasing? Why?
First round interview was virtual. Was shown interview questions prior to recording my answers, and had unlimited time to prepare before answering. There were quite a few question, though I was able to take as much time as needed to prepare.
Overall average interview including dcf and other valuation approaches focus including precedents and market multiples , overall capital markets knowledge might also be useful including knowledge about what kroll does
Multiple rounds, first phone interview. Then flown into office where we did interviews with some of the team members, then a case study with other interviewees and presented to the team and had lunch after. Later received a phone call.
