I applied mid-February and heard back around early March. They had me go in person for the interview, which was unlike most jobs I’ve interviewed for in the last 8 months.
I arrived at the front desk, and I checked-in for my interview around 1pm. After a few minutes, I was asked to walk to the building across the street, and go up the elevator to the HR office. Once I arrived, they had me sit down and manually write out my application again. The same application I had filled out online, including my resume and basic information all over again. After 15 minutes of me writing in everything, I handed in my paperwork, and had to wait for the interviewing employee to pick me up and walk me over to a third building.
The third building felt like a maze. We found an empty conference room and the interview began. It was less of an interview and more of a demonstration and teaching of what I would be doing. They had me measure a part with a caliber and follow a detailed explanation of the job itself.
There were no interview questions really, other than availability and if I had experience.
The interview was for 1:15pm and I left at 2:30pm from their offices. The process was very long.
