I interviewed for a Leader Development role and had a positive initial Teams conversation. I was told to expect follow-up by a certain timeframe and was also advised that no follow-up was necessary on my end. After the stated timeline passed, I reached out for an update and was informed by email that the organization had moved forward with other candidates.
While I understand hiring decisions and timelines can change, the lack of proactive communication and closure felt misaligned with the organization’s stated people-first values. Candidates invest significant time preparing, and more timely, thoughtful communication would improve the experience.
