Received an initial phone call from recruiter go over all the details, process and benefits etc then called onsite for Panel interview consists of 6-8 people each one asking different questions

I'm surprise when they asked when did you complete your Bachelors ? (is it legal to ask this question in interview???) I felt they are biased or discriminating.
