I interviewed at Legal Ombudsman (Birmingham, England)
Interview
Assessment based first stage. In tray exercise, followed by a report writing exercise and then interview with 2 members of staff. Standard interview type questions, nothing unusual. Was given lots of info in advance.
I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Legal Ombudsman (Cardiff, Wales) in Jul 2025
Interview
Recruitment was a bit shambolic. Got an email to confirm interview with zoom guidance notes but a teams link to follow. When they sent out their correction email to confirm it was teams and to disregard the attachment, the email said it would last 1.5 hours but the interview slots were only an hour.
Okay interview, lil basic with the questions, 4 generic customer service questions, but was a relaxed interview and they were good interviewers.
I didn't get the role (which i admit I was a little surprised at) but again issues with recruitment. Got sent my rejection email with an email address for feedback.. which bounced back as undelivered so emailed general recruitment email, who referred me to the rejection email.. they did thankfully include the correct email address (one character difference) so although the interview was pleasant enough it started an ended a bit all over the place and unprofessional, which was surprising given the job i was applying for.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Legal Ombudsman (Leeds, England)
Interview
Fast and easy initially but upon dealing with the people they seemed very unorganised, it took a few weeks to complete, and was relatively easy. They look for examples of your previous work mainly.
