Somewhat drawn out interview process for what is essentially a low, entry-level attorney position. I had significantly more contract review and negotiation experience than the hiring "manager" who initially interviewed me. I then interviewed separately with 2 members of Senior Management and then the CEO. The CEO (a non-practicing attorney) seemed to take offense when I asked about "growth" opportunities for this role. If you review the background of attorneys hired by LegalSifter on LinkedIn you will see that they are essentially attorneys with little to no contract experience and who have never practiced in either a large firm or prominent company. As part of the hiring process you will be asked to review and redline an NDA riddled with errors within 30 minutes. I was told they did this because (surprise!) they had recently hired an attorney with 0 years of contract experience who they had to let go. This is a great place to apply if you have little contract experience, no ambition, and are willing to accept minimal pay. I would have taken a substantial pay cut to work here, but I decided to interview because I thought this company might have great possibilities in the AI Legal industry.
