      Systems Analyst Interview

      23 Jul 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Carthage, MO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Leggett & Platt (Carthage, MO) in Apr 2013

      Interview

I met my boss at a job fair for my university. 2 days after, he emailed me the open position and urged me to apply online. There was an online application, then once I submitted that there was a questionnaire with open-ended questions I had to fill out and submit. Then I had a conference phone interview (which included my boss and a talent advisor from HR). After that, I was invited to come on campus for an in-person interview. The in-person interview lasted about 3 hours and included a tour of Corporate with the two people I phone-interviewed with. I was also interviewed panel-style during this time where I had to answer questions for around 10 managers in the department and then had a separate interview with my boss and another manager I'd be working closely with. After that, I waited about a week and a half and received the job offer. I had to electronically sign the offer to accept and then my initial paperwork was emailed to me to sign electronically. I got to choose my start date.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Leggett & Platt

      Interview

Had two interviews... one over the phone and one via skype conference call. They also asked for 5 references and you don't get to know what the 5 people say about you. If you don't get the position, they will NOT tell you why. Don't give them references if they don't give you a job offer. Not worth it. If they are asking for so many references, the screening is a bit much, plush they don't give you feedback. I wasn't real interested when they required so many references. The lady that booked my interview, booked the wrong the date. I feel like it was a bad experience overall because of all the time and energy trying to give them what they want, they don't even want to give feedback.

      Question 1

Pretty standard interview questions. What is the most difficult project you've worked on... what don't you like about your current position. Nothing to be afraid of if you've had good work experiences.
