The recruitment process for this role was lengthy and unfortunately quite inconsistent. Across four interview stages and an assessment, I received contradictory information about the responsibilities and scope of the position. Different interviewers described the role in very different ways, and some openly acknowledged that the job description itself would likely need to be adjusted.
This made it difficult to understand what the actual expectations of the position were and whether the role was primarily controllership, FP&A, or commercial business partnering.
The final interview experience was particularly disappointing. The discussion felt rushed and one-sided, with frequent interruptions and limited opportunity to properly explain my experience or ask questions. The interaction came across as dismissive and unprofessional, which ultimately left a negative impression of the hiring process.
Overall, the recruitment journey lacked alignment and clarity, and required a significant time investment without a clear understanding of the role being offered.
I would encourage the company to better align internally on role expectations and ensure a consistent message throughout the recruitment process. Based on my experience, I would not recommend applying for this specific role unless responsibilities are clearly defined upfront.
