I relocated from California to Portalnd Oregon six months ago. Unemployment rate is Portland is hovering around 12%. I called a temporary agency upon my arrival and was advised to e-mail my resume. No further response was forthcoming. I have since e-mailed my resume to numerous companies and have not had one resulting interview. What I have received is a gazillion e-mails wanting to sell me "education" as an insurance broker, stock broker, financial analyst, dental hygienist and also something about aluminum siding.
