I applied online. I interviewed at Liberty Moving & Storage (Commack, NY) in Jun 2023
Interview
I was initially put through 3 rounds of interviews.
1st round was with the recruiter.
2nd round was to meet in-person with the recruiter and the manager.
3rd round was with the same group plus the owner of the company, in which I thought this would be the last and they'd make a decision but surprisingly it wasn’t.
They had me come back yet again for a 4th round with the recruiter, manager, and a bunch of other department managers that really had nothing to do with the role, had no business being there, yet were grilling me on my experience.
At first I was very optimistic about the prospect of working here, but after explaining my background, work processes and qualifications for the 4th time it got really tiresome. After this interview, I knew this was a company that I didn’t want to work for. If you can’t determine a viable candidate after roughly 2-3 interviews, that signals that you have a lot of internal issues you need to work out.

Question 1
What's your current advertising budget?
How do you manage your SEO?
I can definitely understand your frustration and how you can feel that the interview process was excessive. However, with all management level positions, the interview process can sometimes require 3 – 4 rounds of interviews. In regards to the Digital Marketing Manager position, we received an overwhelming response, which I am sure was explained to you in an email from HR explaining this and our decision to continue our search. Liberty Moving & Storage values job candidates and encourage all to review future job openings. You are welcome to reach out to our HR department if you would like to discuss this further. We truly wish you the very best in your job search and are confident the right opportunity will come your way.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Liberty Moving & Storage (Brooklyn, NY) in Jun 2017
Interview
The hiring process takes place at Workforce-1 in downtown. The group interview sounds nice and sweet. However, you can tell it is just talk since they don't have the decency to provide feedback to job applicants not selected.
I can definitely understand your frustration. I am very sorry you did not receive feedback. Please note that the interviews that take place through Workforce-1 are set-up by them and feedback is given directly to them. We initially tell them approximately how many people with think we will need for the season. However, in this business it is very hard to forecast exactly how many workers we will need. I am very sorry this was not explained to you prior to the interview event. We do our best to put as many to work as possible. It is not always possible. I can only assume if you were not chosen to work we just didn't have the workload. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you are still interested in seasonal work.
